This is our wiki page for our preterite/imperfect project.
We will be writing a story, a couple sentences at a time, using the imperfect and preterite tenses together. This will help you understand how these two tenses differ and will help you see the development of a story. After we finish this wiki project, you will be writing your own story using the preterite and imperfect.
Here is the topic sentence for our wiki:
Cuando despertó, el dinosaurio todavía estaba allí.
This is actually a complete short story written by Monterroso, but we will be adding to the story to see how it develops. Here you can see that he used both the preterite and imperfect tenses. Here is a rubric that I will discuss in further detail with you.
